Bilgola Plateau is a suburb in Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia.
The suburb is mainly residential, with two small rows of shops, a small park and a primary school located on the top of the plateau. Bilgola Beach on the eastern side features a surf club and kiosk. Rising to an elevation of 150m above sea level, the suburb has views of the beach and the ocean on the eastern side, and views of the body of water, Pittwater on the western side. To the north are the suburbs of Avalon Beach, Whale Beach, and Palm Beach, with Careel Bay being a minor bay in between the latter two, as well as Clareville to the North West. To the south are Newport, Mona Vale and Narrabeen.
The plateau was previously named Mount Loftus, after governor of NSW Lord Augustus Loftus. Given its modest elevation, designating it as a plateau is more appropriate, and is now named for the Aboriginal derived name of Bilgola (derived from the local aboriginal language meaning "swirling water"), likely describing Bilgola Beach to the east.

Thanks Sydney City Removalists for relocating us from Sydney to Newcastle. We had accumulated many years of ‘stuff’ in our old house, which was quite large, including many outdoor pots and equipment, to be moved into a much smaller property. You packed it all into a truck and a van, your team worked bloody fast, were very friendly and helpful, and we did not have a single problem or breakage. These guys are fantastic! I couldn’t believe how fast and efficient the whole process was. After checking out a number of different movers and after reading the reviews here I gave them a call, very polite and extremely helpful. Our move was a bit of a strange one as my wife and I were sharing a 4 bedroom house with my sister in law and her partner. They had no problem with moving half of the stuff to one 2 bedroom unit and the rest to another on the other side of Sydney… both on the top floor! Nothing was a problem for these guys! They arrived on time (7am) and where finished both moves by 5:30pm, I wouldn’t of believed it could be done that fast unless I’d seen it myself. If your moving I would highly recommend giving these guys a call!.

Just a quick note to say how much we appreciated the professional, efficient and most courteous way in which our move was handled yesterday by SCR. Nothing was too much trouble for the 3 removalists who carried out the move for my Dad and it was an absolute pleasure to deal with them. Our moving experience with Mark and Amber was fantastic from the first phone call, they were able to give me hints and tips to make the move a bit smother and the removalist that arrived on the day were amazing, they took great care with all our items and were so professional, no breakages and no damage to anything including walls. We were fully packed, moved and unloaded within 2 and a half hours. I would not hesitate to recommend Sydney City Removalists and I would most definitely use them again..
